Medical Laboratory Assistant

• Performs technical duties to assist in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients, ensuring aseptic techniques and patient comfort.

Transports, positions, and cares for patients and biological specimens, preparing the OR with supplies and instruments.

Under nurse supervision, supports surgical procedures across multiple specialties, establishing and maintaining sterile fields.

Uses physician preference cards, updates documentation, and collaborates effectively within the team.

Maintains a safe environment by following aseptic practices, proper traffic control, and sterilization policies.

Demonstrates proficiency with surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment, adhering to safety standards.

Adapts patient care to meet individual physical, psychosocial, and developmental needs.

Meets educational requirements, holds BLS certification, and surgical technologist or LVN/LPN certification.

Works full-time, scheduled from 7AM to 7PM.
