Description:
The Registered Nurse in Maternal Care is responsible for caring for laboring, postpartum patients, and newborns, including monitoring fetal strips and recognizing complications.
Must manage triage, medical screening, and provide total patient care, including some housekeeping after deliveries.
Requires compassion, empathy, and a passion for educating new parents.
Values teamwork, patient satisfaction, and quality care.
Preferred qualifications include 1 year nursing experience, BSN, Kansas license, and certifications like BLS, ACLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring.
Can obtain some certifications during orientation.
