The registered nurse practices independently within a clinical setting, providing routine and complex care while managing long-term goals and contingencies.
Demonstrates competency in the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation—aligned with ANA standards.
Addresses patients’ psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs, administering medications, monitoring effects, and documenting care.
Provides patient and family education, assessing learning needs and resources.
Meets organizational competencies related to self-leadership, team leadership, or leadership of leaders.
Requires a BSN (preferred), at least 1 year of relevant experience (preferred), valid RN license, BLS, and ACLS certification.
New hires undergo orientation and competency validation; ongoing certifications must be obtained within specified grace periods.
