Summary:
A Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for delivering patient care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
They prescribe, delegate, coordinate, supervise, and evaluate patient teaching and activities of ancillary nursing staff, ensuring professional standards are maintained.
The nurse provides both direct and indirect patient care.
Requirements include a graduate of a State Board School of Nursing or equivalent, with six months of preferred experience.
Must hold a valid RN license in Texas and obtain certifications such as BLS within two weeks, ACLS within eight weeks, and additional certifications like ENPC/PALS, TNCC, and Arrhythmia Recognition within specified timeframes.
