The Health Care Specialist performs timely, professional setup of advanced medical equipment such as ventilators, monitors, and CPAP units, often in patients' homes.
Provides patient education tailored to individual needs, conducting assessments and maintaining organized records in compliance with standards.
Requires a personal vehicle, valid driver’s license, and availability for on-call after hours and weekends.
Must stay current with respiratory care techniques, safety policies, and regulations (OSHA, DOT, FDA).
Qualifications include a minimum of two to three years home health care experience, relevant clinical licensing (CRT, RRT, RN, LPN, etc.), and computer literacy.
May involve training other specialists and requires excellent interpersonal skills.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and over 50 pounds occasionally.
