Journeyman Plumber Position Summary:

Tim's Plumbing Co LLC is a NON-union residential plumbing contractor seeking a skilled and licensed Journeyman Plumber to join our team in Oak Creek, WI. As a Journeyman Plumber, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems, fixtures, and components in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the plumbing field, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, repair, and maintain various plumbing systems, including water supply lines, drainage systems, gas lines, cleaning drains and main lateral sewer lines.

Troubleshoot and address issues with pipes, fixtures, and appliances, ensuring efficient and effective solutions.

Collaborate with team members and clients to identify project requirements and develop appropriate solutions.

Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for clients, maintaining open lines of communication throughout the process.

Adhere to all applicable safety policies and procedures, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Valid Journeyman Plumber license in the State of Wisconsin.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in plumbing, maintenance, or a related field.

Strong understanding of plumbing codes, regulations, and best practices.

Proficient in installing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of plumbing fixtures and components.

Ability to handle physical workload, including lifting heavy materials and working in confined spaces.

Excellent troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on customer service.

Experience and Knowledge in Water Softeners a plus.

Experience in a commercial setting a plus.

Tim comes from a plumbing family and grew up around his grandfather, father, and uncles who were all plumbers. His grandfather Barney started his business, Barney Dereszynski Plumbing & Heating in 1919 on the South Side of Milwaukee.

Tim worked for his grandfather’s business as a young man until 1969 when he left to work for Romens Plumbing.

In 1975, Tim ventured out into the world on his own and opened up Tim ́s Plumbing Company from a small office in Cudahy, WI.

Over time, he grew and expanded the business adding multiple trucks and employees until 1990 when his uncle, Julian Dereszynski, wanted to retire.

Tim then took over his grandfather’s original business at 2922 South 13th Street just north of Oklahoma. Tim ran his grandfather’s business from the South 13th Street location from 1991 until 2007 when he moved to a different facility in Oak Creek.

Tim ́s commitment to satisfaction and fair treatment of customers continues today. Even at age 82 Tim still does work himself as he enjoys it so much.
