Job Title: Paint Prep Worker
Job Description
The Paint Prep position is responsible for preparing paint products daily, ensuring metal surfaces are properly taped and prepared for final paint coats. This role involves painting parts using both powder and liquid paint, working in the paint booth, and assisting painters with some painting tasks.
Responsibilities
Prepare paint products and ensure metal surfaces are taped and ready for painting.
Paint parts using powder and liquid paint techniques.
Assist painters in the paint booth with painting tasks.
Load and unload parts in the paint booth.
Lift parts up to 70 lbs and hang them on paint hooks.
Conduct visual inspections of parts before and after painting.
Clean parts before and after they go through the paint booth.
Utilize hand and power tools, run equipment such as drills and screw guns.
Read prints and perform large assemblies.
Perform prepping tasks in the paint area.Essential Skills
Experience in production and painting.
Ability to work with liquid paint in a paint booth.
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.Additional Skills & Qualifications
At least 6 months of experience in a paint booth or similar setting.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
