We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing and controlling a company's expenses. The role involves working closely with the finance team to ensure that we meet our financial goals. This position will play a key role in the financial planning and decision-making process within our organization to help us achieve our operational and financial goals.

Responsibilities:

1. Analyze financial data to ensure its accuracy, identify financial trends, and make recommendations to improve profitability.

2. Develop and maintain the cost accounting system, documents, and records of the organization.

3. Analyze and recommend costs and cost savings.

4. Prepare and complete internal cost audits.

5. Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements.

6. Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure timely completion of audit processes.

7. Prepare detailed account analysis and reconcile sales, cost, and inventory, liability accounts by customer.

8. Review and analyze inventory and margin reports, conduct research, and perform analytical studies in regard to cost analyses and profitability.

9. Support and assist internal department reporting requirements such as audit schedules, tax schedules, and others.

10. Ensure timely submission, accuracy, and validity of inventory, gross margin schedules to management.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.

2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification preferred.

3. 5+ years of cost accounting work experience in a manufacturing environment.

4. Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and procedures.

5. Strong knowledge of material, labor, and overhead costs analysis.

6. Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis.

7. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

8. Well-informed in current financial subjects, accounting, tax laws, money market, and business environments.

9. Excellent communication, research, problem-solving, and time management skills.

10. High attention to detail and accuracy, ability to direct and supervise.
