The Career Opportunity:

Our Quality Assurance team oversees developing and executing detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases. Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing for web, mobile, and/or desktop applications. Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools within Jira.

Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality software.

Ensure compliance with QA standards and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

Contribute to the creation and improvement of QA processes, documentation, and reporting.

The position is based in San Marcos, CA and will be onsite 5 days a week.

Areas of Accountability:

The Quality Assurance Analyst has responsibility for the following outcomes:

Ensures software products are released with minimal bugs, meeting defined acceptance criteria, and aligning with business requirements.

Develops and maintains effective test plans and test cases that thoroughly validate functional and non-functional requirements across all supported platforms.

Identifies and documents defects early in the development lifecycle, helping to reduce the cost and impact of issues discovered later in production.

Collaboration across departments to understand customer needs in order to enhance end user’s experience in all developed applications.

Provide support to the technical support team in technical support overflow.Competencies for Success:

Associates or Bachelor’s degree in information technology, or related field

Minimum of 2 years quality assurance experience, preferably in a SaaS organization

Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

Experience with test management tools and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)

Skills in SQL is a plus

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Experience in CRM tools and support ticketing system.

Strong customer service skills and good telephone etiquette

Proficiency in MS Office and Windows

Experience analyzing, writing and revising SOPs

At PracticeTek we carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors to determine our offers of employment. This includes internal and external market factors as well as your individual experience and skills. These considerations can cause compensation to vary but we reasonably expect to pay between $60,750-$126,100 for this position.
