We are actively seeking a dynamic, highly skilled Permanent Tooling Technician to join our fast-paced, innovative engineering team. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth operation and continuous improvement of our manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving our tooling assets, contributing significantly to our operational efficiency and product quality. This position requires an individual with a keen eye for detail, a problem-solving mindset, and a deep understanding of tooling systems and equipment.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Tooling Technician, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Maintaining and repairing various tooling systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.

2. Conducting regular inspections and diagnostic tests on tooling equipment to detect malfunctions early.

3. Troubleshooting and resolving issues with tooling systems in a timely and efficient manner.

4. Collaborating with the engineering team to develop and implement improvements to tooling systems, contributing to enhanced productivity and product quality.

5. Documenting all tooling maintenance and repair activities, ensuring accurate records are kept for future reference.

6. Complying with all safety regulations and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

7. Assisting in the training and development of junior technicians, sharing knowledge and expertise.

8. Staying up-to-date with the latest tooling technologies and industry best practices, continually enhancing your skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Permanent Tooling Technician role, candidates must have the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a tooling technician role within the engineering industry.

2. Proven experience in troubleshooting and resolving issues with tooling systems and equipment.

3. A strong understanding of tooling technologies and manufacturing processes.

4. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think quickly and perform under pressure.

5. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.

6. Proficiency in using various tools and equipment necessary for the maintenance and repair of tooling systems.

7. A strong commitment to safety, ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with safety regulations.

8. A relevant technical qualification is preferred, but not essential.
