Quality Inspector (NDT)
This is an exceptional opportunity to work with an Oil&Gas Services company in Shreveport, Louisiana
Job Description:
Pay Rate: $19.25 per hour or more, depending on experience plus overtime, Medical, Dental and Vision under a W-2 Contract to Hire
Hours: All contractors must train on the weekday day shift (Monday - Thursday (7am - 5:30pm) for at least 3 weeks before moving to another shift.
Weekday Shifts:
Day: Monday - Thursday (7am - 5:30pm)
Afternoon: Monday - Thursday (2:30pm - 11pm) - $2 shift diff.
Weekend Shifts:
Day: Friday - Sunday (5am - 5:30pm) - $2.50 shift diff.
Night: Friday - Sunday (5:30pm - 5am) - $3.50 shift diff.
Job Summary:
Comprehend Blueprints and DWGS, as well electrical Diagrams
Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of welded products and structures.
Able to interpret welding procedures, welder qualifications, and material specifications.
Interpret inspection results to determine the presence, location, and size of defects and prepare detailed inspection reports.
Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and findings.
Prepare inspection reports, including documenting any defects or discrepancies.
Ensure proper documentation of welding processes and quality control measures.
Ensure compliance with relevant welding codes, standards and procedures (e.g., ASME, AWS and API)
Monitor welding operations to ensure adherence to approved welding procedures.
Participate in internal and external audits and reviews.
Implement quality control plans and inspection procedures.
Identify and address quality issues, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
Ensure that all welding equipment and materials meet required specifications.
Physical ability to perform inspections, including climbing, bending, and lifting.
Required Experience:
Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) such as ultrasonic and magnetic particle testing
Certifications in non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques such as radiographic testing (RT), visual (VT) or liquid penetrant testing (PT).
Experience in specific industries such as aerospace, automotive, power generation, or pipeline inspection.
Familiarity with AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code, ASME 31.1, 31.3, 31. 31.9.
Competency with various precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, CMM.
Familiarity with various types of machining processes and equipment such as mills, lathes is preferred.
Experience in various types of construction and manufacturing fabrication.
