Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Mill Machinist for the 2nd shift to precisely mill details from plate or flat stock according to blueprints. You will be responsible for creating various shapes and components with exact dimensions.
Responsibilities
Mill details from plate or flat stock according to blueprints.
Interpret and read blueprints accurately.
Utilize measuring tools effectively.
Sharpen cutting tools as needed.
Perform own set-ups for machining operations.
Download and alter programs when necessary.
Machine material to print specifications.
Use overhead crane safely and efficiently.Essential Skills
Minimum of 3 years experience operating 3-axis mills.
Ability to read digital micrometers and calipers.
Proficiency in editing Haas and Fanuc controls.
Familiarity with G&M code editing.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Programming experience is a plus.

Work Environment
The facility is modern and well-equipped, featuring new Haas 3-axis CNC Mills and Fanuc controllers. The work schedule includes 2nd shift hours from 5:30pm to 1:30am or 3:30am for 10-hour days, with potential for Saturday shifts. The shop provides a clean and organized environment, with amenities such as cafes and a workout room.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn Hills, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
