Chief Building Engineer (Temp-to-Perm)
Location: Tuskegee, AL
Schedule: Monday–Friday, First Shift
Pay: 40.68/hr
Must have Commercial experience and EPA Universal to qualify.

We're on the hunt for a hands-on, take-charge Chief Building Engineer ready to step into a key leadership role at a well-established campus in Tuskegee. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity where your experience, technical know-how, and team leadership will make a lasting impact.

Running the show when it comes to all building systems—HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical
Leading and mentoring the engineering team to operate at peak performance
Overseeing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency response
Keeping logs, reports, tools, and supplies well-managed and up to date
Making sure contractors deliver and safety stays priority #1
Supporting property management with smart, technical solutions
Jumping into after-hours situations when needed and guiding team responses
Managing purchase orders, inventory, and vendor coordination like a proWhat You Bring:
7+ years of experience in building engineering, ideally as a Chief Engineer or Assistant Chief
A natural leader who knows how to get the best out of people
Solid training—whether from a trade school, military background, union program, or college
EPA Universal Certification (a must)
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
Ability to handle physical work: lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, getting the job done

Pay Details: 40.68 per hour
