Job Description:
The University of Florida is currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Regional Admissions Recruiter. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing recruitment efforts, managing assigned territories, and ensuring the effectiveness of admissions processes.
Key responsibilities include:
Territory Management and Recruitment
Engage in extensive travel to local high schools, state colleges, college fairs, and special programs, which involves driving a rental or state vehicle and loading and unloading recruitment materials (40lb limit).
Occasional domestic travel outside of the assigned territory, which involves flying long distances.
Coordinate and execute recruitment efforts in the assigned geographical territory under the direction of the Assistant Director of Admissions.
Represent UF by hosting information sessions to large audiences virtually and in person.
Interact with local high school counselors and state college advisors to promote enrollment opportunities.
Meet with prospective students, parents, and school counselors to answer questions about UF.
Plan and schedule yield events and other recruitment activities to serve the university’s constituents.
Admissions Counseling and Application Review
Actively contribute to general admissions counseling.
Participate in the freshmen application review process.
Address general inquiries related to UF Admission policies and processes through phone, email, and virtual platforms.
Serve on special committees, providing valuable insight and expertise to enhance the overall admissions process.
Program and Event Coordination
Assist with program and event coordination to recruit and yield prospective and newly admitted students to the University of Florida, including off-campus and virtual events.
Collaborate with other areas of the office on office-wide recruitment initiatives, fostering a cohesive and effective admissions team.
Other Duties
Conduct administrative duties necessary for attachment to the campus office.
Participate in conferences and professional development training to maintain a high level of professional competence.
Perform additional duties as directed by supervisor.
Expected Salary:
$70,000 annually

Minimum Requirements:
Master's degree in an appropriate area; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience.
Valid driver's license is required.

Ability to exercise good judgment and work with minimal supervision

Special Instructions to Applicants:
The Regional Admissions Recruiter will be responsible for student engagement and recruitment within the New York City area. The selected candidate must work from a home office located within the 5 boroughs of NYC.
