Job Title: Press Brake Operator
Job Description
The Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to bend, form, and fabricate metal components according to precise specifications. This role plays a critical part in ensuring high-quality production output and maintaining safety and efficiency on the shop floor.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and form metal sheets and plates.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine machine setup and production requirements.
Select appropriate tooling and dies for each job.
Measure and inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to ensure they meet specifications and tolerances.
Make machine adjustments as needed to ensure product quality and minimize waste.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet production goals and deadlines.
Accurately record production data in logs or computer systems.Essential Skills
Machine operation and setup skills.
Experience as a machine operator for at least 1 year.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Proficiency with precision tools such as calipers and micrometers.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in metal fabrication.
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
Work Environment
The work environment is non-climate controlled and can be loud, requiring adherence to safety regulations and practices.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Charles, Missouri.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.52 - $20.09/hr.
