Resident Engineer

Job Description

Savin Engineers is seeking experienced Resident Engineers to oversee roadway resurfacing projects in Nassau County. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in highway construction inspection and a commitment to ensuring project quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

· Serve as the primary on-site representative, overseeing contractor operations and ensuring adherence to project specifications.

· Manage field staff, including inspectors and office engineers, to ensure efficient project execution.

· Conduct reviews of construction schedules, perform inspections, and oversee field testing.

· Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including daily diaries, progress reports, and payment vouchers.

Qualifications:

· Minimum of NICET Level IV certification in Highway Construction Inspection.

· At least 10 years of experience as a Resident Engineer on roadway resurfacing projects.

· Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred.

· Demonstrated experience with Nassau County Department of Public Works (NCDPW) resurfacing projects is required.

· Familiarity with NYSDOT projects and standards is beneficial.

· Proficient in NYSDOT Manual of Uniform Record Keeping (MURK) and Nassau County Standard Specifications.Company Description
