Quality Assurance Specialist
Summary
The QA Specialist will successfully execute the the quality programs, processes, and systems implemented in the plant to ensure that company performance expectation are met or exceeded. You will also lead and participate in internal and external audits. The QA Specialist shall ensure the production of consistent, wholesome, high-quality products that meet or exceed customer and regulatory requirements
The right candidate will successfully:
Maintain all aspects of QA processes and methodologies to ensure effectiveness and alignment to industry best practices
Prepare, review, and maintain testing documents (test plan, test cases, test reports,) to ensure complete test coverage
Perform QA testing activities as required (test case preparation, testing execution, environment setup, installation, etc)
Participate in QA team meetings or triage calls
Prioritize testing activities
Utilize QA resources across multiple projects
Manage risks and deliverables to ensure that the testing activities remain within agreed scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards
Work with QA Lead and QA Manager and development team to report and escalate relevant testing issues and challenges that arise during testing activities
Responsible for reporting metrics, test reports, plans, and problems to QA management and other involved parties
Qualifications
3 years experience with quality assurance within the food industry.
Experience in HACCP, ISO standards
Preferred, but not required: HACCP and PCQI certification or ability to attain certifications upon hire.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstracts and concrete variables.
