Description:

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

• Deep understanding of SAP TMS: Demonstrate extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with SAP Transportation Management System (TMS) including its functionalities and integration points.

• Process design and configuration: Ability to analyze business requirements, design, and configure SAP TMS solutions to meet organizational needs, including transportation planning and execution.

• Integration with other SAP modules: Experience in integrating SAP TMS with other SAP modules such as SAP S/4HANA, Warehouse Management (WM), and Sales and Distribution (SD) to ensure a seamless flow of information.

• Knowledge of freight costing and management: Expertise in freight costing methodologies, rate determination, and managing freight settlements in the SAP TMS environment.

• Project management skills: Proven ability to manage end-to-end implementation projects, including gathering requirements, conducting workshops, and user training, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.

• Analytical and problem-solving skills: Strong analytical abilities to troubleshoot issues, provide efficient solutions, and conduct impact analysis related to SAP TMS configurations and modifications.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements for transportation management processes and translate them into functional specifications.

• System Configuration: Configure and customize the SAP TMS according to business requirements, ensuring alignment with best practices and efficiency in transportation processes.

• Integration Management: Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate SAP TMS with other SAP modules and third-party applications, ensuring smooth data flow and process continuity.

• Testing and Validation: Develop test scenarios and scripts for user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate the functionality of the system, ensuring that it meets business needs.

• Training and Support: Provide training and ongoing support to end-users, ensuring they are adept at using the SAP TMS and can optimize its features for transportation management.

• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including process flows, user manuals, training materials, and technical specifications to support system implementation and future references.

• Optimization and Enhancement: Continuously analyze transportation processes and system performance to identify areas for improvement and recommend enhancements to maximize effectiveness.

• Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular communication with stakeholders across various departments to ensure alignment on transportation strategies and project updates.

Generic Managerial Skills, If any

• Ability to lead cross-functional teams, motivate team members, and drive initiatives towards successful project completion while fostering a collaborative work environment.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information to diverse stakeholders, including technical teams, business users, and management.
