SUMMARY
Reporting to the President/COO, the Accountant oversees general accounting, monthly close process, account reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable/collection. Ensures legal and regulatory compliance for all accounting and financial reporting functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the various daily general accounting operations including the maintenance of controls and medical industry standards
Provide support to the President/COO in the management of general ledger
Monitor financial systems and procedures, resolving problems and developing enhanced reporting
Responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivables/collections; handling banking transactions such as deposits, ACH’s, wires and check printing
Oversee and review the reconciliation of GL accounts for month-end close
Provide support to the President/COO for the preparation, review, and analysis of corporate stand-alone and consolidated financial statements and forecasts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
Responsible for the year-end review/audit including the resolution of reviewer/auditor inquiries and the compilation of required records, schedules, and information requests
Respond to requests from internal and external parties for various financial information and analysis to include the development of the monthly loan base report for the bank, completion of monthly/annual tax forms and licensing documents required for state/city and assist with the resolution of problems as required
Provide support to the President/COO in managing the pursuit of process improvement initiatives
Assist in preparing for audits. Complete analysis and provide information as requested.
Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.

BS/BA in Accounting or Finance
Two to Four years of accounting experience
Must be PC literate and proficient in the use of all Microsoft products with emphasis on Excel,
Familiarity with the healthcare industry a plus
