Job Description

Corkery Transport Inc. is hiring a Full-Time Diesel Mechanic/Technician. We have an immediate opening at our Jesup shop for a Diesel Mechanic/Technician. Qualified applicants must possess and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of major truck components, diesel engine diagnostics, electrical systems, and preventative maintenance. Ability to use manufacturer s company software to diagnose and repair electronic systems is necessary. Strong communication, analytical and basic computer skills required. Must have own tools and acceptable driving record. Class A CDL desirable. This is a year round position. Wages will be based on experience.

Responsibilities

Perform PM’s and oil changes.

Grease trucks and trailers.

Perform tire services.

Perform basic electrical repairs.

Perform minor repairs.

Perform brake services.

Perform basic HVAC repairs.

Perform CSA/DOT inspections.

Perform wheel end/seal services.

Keep shop clean and uncluttered at all times.

Practice all company safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for employees and customers.

Adhere to all Safety Policies.

Reporting for work in a timely manner when scheduled.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience (include certs or licenses needed):

Air Brake Certification.

ASE R-134A Refrigerant Certification.

Minimum Qualifications:

Valid driver's license and be insurable to drive, preferred.

Complete Level 4 brake training.

Complete Level 4 wheel seal training.

Ability to attend HVAC, Electrical and DOT training.

Must have reliable transportation and phone.

Able and willing to work cooperatively with other team members.
