Metal Shop Helper

Job Description

Shop Helper needed to work in Chain Shop in the Hobby Airport area

This person will be lifting up to 50 lbs. repetitively while feeding materials (chain, rope, or wire) into a Machine.

SOME EXPERIENCE NEEDED AND WILLINGNESS TO LEARN WITH SOME MECHANICAL OR MACHINE OPERATING KNOWLEDGE

SHIFT: M-F 7 AM-5 PM

PAY:$16.00/HR.

Duties for Shop Helper:

Produces assigned products in accordance with verbal and written instructions.

Ability to exhibit good written and verbal skills when communicating and completing production documentation.

Performs all duties and responsibilities with excellent attention to detail.

Work well with others.

Cleaning parts with degreaser and solvents.

Removing burrs and sharp edges on parts using variations of equipment.

Occasional drilling and tapping.

Mopping shop floors as needed.

Must be able to use a hand grinder.

Forklift exp. is a plus.

Basic Knowledge of Hand Tools.

Be able to read a tape measure.

Be able to work in hot/cold environment's

Be able to learn to use a bander or winder machine

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

10 hour shift

Day shift
