We are looking to hire a Production Analyst in the City of Industry, CA. This is a contract to hire opportunity to join our Production Team!
Position Type: Full-time, Onsite
Pay: $25-$30/hour
Schedule: Monday- Friday; 8am- 5pm (1 hour lunch)
Job Summary: The Production Analyst is responsible for supporting our Production Management team in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing production processes, waste, productivity rates.
Job Responsibilities:
Record and analyze daily productivity per department, per machine
Perform SPC (statistical process control) analysis, if possible, to trend productivity results per machine and operator
Analyze scrap rates per department and per machine
Ensure daily scrap reporting per department is reliable and correct. Test randomly each department to double check information reported is correct
Provide weekly and monthly reports of analysis being performed per department to Senior Management
Help in the implementation of productivity and incentive programs for manufacturing personnel to help increase the individual output per machine
Coordinate with Production Supervisors the implementation of analytical and improvement programs
Keep all data and analysis in an organized manner and available for review at any time
Monthly manufacturing reporting: scrap analysis per department and for whole plant, including any information required from other facilities to complete such report
Involved with some operational information from other facilities in order to provide monthly Corporate reporting
Follow up with Supervisors and Managers on findings and improvements needed
Work together with the VP of Manufacturing on any other production process analysis required
Strategic Outcomes:
Maintain high standard of detail and organization in production analysis and reporting
Accurate and timely task completion
Strong relationships with other team members to ensure cohesiveness and continuous communication of process improvements
Education & Experience:
Degree or diploma in Operations Management or similar field, and/or related equivalent experience
1- 3 years in a similar role of continuous improvement
Knowledge of flexographic printing press, extrusion, and conversion process would be an asset, but not required
Skills:
Strong understanding of manufacturing and productions systems
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
Strong problem-solving skills and data analysis
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Bilingual a plus
Analytics and Technology
Advanced MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) required
Demonstrated analytical capabilities to identify, prioritize, and sort data driven issues and projects
