Job Description
Nichols School is looking for a skilled and creative Digital Content Coordinator with a primary focus on video production and digital media. The role is instrumental in conveying the school’s mission, community life, and educational offerings through high-quality visual storytelling across multiple digital platforms.
The successful candidate will have a keen eye for finding compelling stories in campus life and deep knowledge of principles, tools, and best practices of communications and marketing, with the ability to translate Nichols’ values and culture into compelling narratives that engage prospective families, current students and parents, alumni, and the greater community.
Responsibilities Include:
Plan, script, film, and edit professional-quality video content for a variety of platforms including the school website, social media, and email campaigns
Manage all aspects of video production, including pre-production planning, on-site filming, post-production editing, and final delivery
Capture day-to-day life on campus as well as special events, academic and athletic programs, student achievements, and faculty highlights
Collaborate with Marketing, Admissions, and Advancement teams to develop content that aligns with the school’s strategic goals and branding
Maintain an editorial calendar to ensure timely production and distribution of media
Manage the school’s video library, ensuring proper storage, organization, and archiving of assets
Optimize media for various platforms, adhering to best practices for video consumption and availability
Monitor analytics and performance metrics to assess engagement and refine content strategies
Support the Advancement Office with video content for donor engagement and alumni relations
Assist with photography, graphic design, and general digital media needs as required
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in digital media, film production, communications, marketing, or related field
3+ years of professional experience in video production, preferably in an educational setting
Proficiency with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent
Strong storytelling skills and an eye for visual composition and emotional impact
Familiarity with social media platforms and trends, content management systems, and digital marketing best practices
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with detail
