The Squires Group is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Analyst with SSB experience to support a critical federal program focused on providing leading cyber and technology security experience to enable innovative, effective, and secure business processes. In this role you will support the Security Standards & Baselines team by streamlining processes, promoting cybersecurity awareness, guiding technical solutions, and ensuring security best practices across IT services and stakeholders.
Work will be performed ONSITE in Arlington, VA. Per our client contract, candidates must be U.S. Citizen, possessing a Secret clearance with eligibility to obtain a final Top Secret security clearance.
Responsibilities
Provide support to the Security Standards & Baselines (SSB) section within the Technology and Engineering Office.
Identify opportunities to improve, streamline, and automate processes and workflows.
Leverage strong technical expertise across multiple cybersecurity domains.
Raise awareness of security issues with leadership and ensure security principles are embedded in the organization’s vision and objectives.
Clearly explain complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.
Apply strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to support informed security strategies.
Conduct in-depth research and documentation of emerging and existing security threat vectors.
Mentor and provide guidance to team members to strengthen team capabilities.
Develop and distribute bulletins, alerts, and advisories related to security standards or principal documents.
Enforce the consistent application of information security and assurance policies, principles, and best practices across IT service delivery.
Analyze new, modified, and emerging technologies to create recommended security configuration baselines aligned with Department policy and DISA STIGs.
Respond to technical and policy inquiries from a broad user base with expert guidance and clarification.
Advocate for cybersecurity standards and practices among stakeholders, coworkers, and Department-wide users.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain effective communication and knowledge sharing.
Continuously refine processes to support the efficiency and effectiveness of Mission objectives.
Maintain and manage content and updates within SharePoint repositories.
Stay informed of team activities to provide backup support and ensure continuity of operations when needed.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years’ of relevant experience. An additional 4 years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree/education.
Possess ONE of the following certifications:
CAP, CASP+ CE, CCISO, CCNA-Security, CISM, CISSP (or Associate), CISSP (or Associate), CND, CSSLP, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, GSLC, Security+ CE, SSCP, PPDA, Agile IC, SNOW App Dev
Experience with DISA STIG - Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG).
Experience developing and executing research plans.
Experience working with Windows Server on an enterprise level.
Experience managing Active Directory in a multi-domain environment.
Experience working with server/application virtualization on an enterprise.
Demonstrated excellence in business acumen, team orientation and strong customer service skills.
U.S. citizenship required.
Active Secret security clearance.
Ability to obtain a final Top Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with process automation highly desired.
Technical writing skills.
Engineering/maintaining database infrastructure including SQL and Oracle.
Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), Azure, Active Directory.
Developing and managing virtualized IT systems.
Networking technologies.
Configuration and/or administrating enterprise mobile device deployments.
Experience working with Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers on an enterprise level.
