Customer Service Representative

Job Description

Superior Recreational Products is looking for a Customer Care Representative who can provide excellent customer service and demonstrate outstanding problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment while taking phone calls and responding to emails. Position requires a very detail oriented individual capable of maintaining accuracy while processing new purchase orders and making revisions/ changes to existing orders according to the established department procedures. Assist in quoting standard product to representatives. Data Entry consists of entering data into multiple computer programs. This position is accountable for being responsive to customer needs, as well as sending leads to representatives. Duties may also include assembling samples, mailing samples or literature upon request, putting manuals together and writing letters. Must be capable of using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and other computer programs required to fulfill this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Enter orders into ERP system

Inform customers of unit prices, shipping date, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed by customer.

Provide timely and accurate information to incoming customer order status and product knowledge requests.

Call customers when necessary to advise shipments delay and/or information necessary to process orders.

Talk with customers concerning orders, returns, shipments and products.

Follows up on orders to ensure delivery by specified dates. Confers with production, shipping, warehouse, or common carrier personnel to expedite or trace missing or delayed shipments. Initiate tracers with carriers as required.

Makes sure that quotes are processed through the quoting process in a timely manner.

Work closely with the Credit Department to resolve disputed credit items.

Other duties may be assigned by Manager or Supervisor.

Education and/or Experience

High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Travel

Job may require light travel to visit sites and a flexible schedule. Less than 25%

Computer Skills

Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access

Other Requirements

Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, work instructions, software manuals Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak and communicate well with customers.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations such as in relating customers questions to catalog item variables, and pricing structures

Time Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.

Strong customer orientation.
