The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining Kenect community in an attractive, safe and quality condition and assisting the Director of Facilities in the operations of the maintenance departments, ensuring success in all departments including residential units, operating maintenance shop, abiding by local and federal fair housing guidelines. Primary functions include: perform building repairs, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting repairs as service requests are submitted and to prepare for future move ins.
What this opportunity entails:
Facilitate work orders and day to day tasks, with little supervision while displaying absolute professionalism.
Organize, prioritize and complete unit make-readies, service requests and general maintenance tasks.
Assist in ensuring that the grounds, buildings and units and fully functional, safe and attractive. Inspect grounds, buildings and units on a regular basis. If you see something = say something!
Collaborate with the Director of Facilities on turnover planning and execution.
Manage property risks effectively by communicating potential liabilities, and reporting incidents in a timely manner.
Foster a positive community atmosphere with excellent customer service.
Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol.
Keeps Director of Facilities advised of significant operational issues.

What we need from you:
A minimum of 2 years of various trades that could be helpful to our location. IE: HVAC, electrical, plumbing etc.
Looking for a experienced, friendly, honest, and reliable Maintenance Techs who are familiar with Tenants and their needs.
Experience with facilitating work orders with little to no supervisor while displaying absolute professionalism.
Valid Drivers License- position may require use of employee’s own vehicle to pick up supplies and other property related activities.
Ability to be “on call” for 48 hours, Once a Month.
Required Education/Training:
A Bachelor’s degree is preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Open to just 2+ years of work related experience when considering a star candidate!

Physical Demands of Job:
The necessary physical functions for the position include standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, climbing, stooping, kneeling, bending, reaching, writing, driving, talking, hearing, seeing, and the ability to cope with environmental conditions inside and outside the building throughout the year. Travel outside the local market to attend company and/or industry meetings or conferences will be minimal. Notification will be provided as far in advance as possible in order for personal arrangements to be made.
