CME Associates is seeking a motivated and skilled Geologist to join our dynamic team in East Brunswick, NJ. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our geology department, contributing to a variety of projects in the fields of environmental consulting, site assessment, and geotechnical engineering. Responsibilities

Conduct geological field investigations, including soil and rock sampling, site characterization, and subsurface exploration, utilizing a range of geotechnical and environmental equipment.

Perform geologic and hydrogeologic data analysis, interpreting findings to generate accurate reports and recommendations for clients and project teams.

Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other professionals to integrate geologic information into project designs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and client objectives.

Assist in the preparation and review of technical reports, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments, providing clear and concise geological insights.

Participate in the assessment of geologic hazards, such as landslides, erosion, and groundwater contamination, offering mitigation strategies and solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in geology, geotechnical engineering, or environmental consulting.

Proficiency in geologic mapping, subsurface investigation techniques, and geological modeling software.

Strong understanding of federal and state regulations pertaining to environmental and geological standards.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, clients, and regulatory agencies.

Preferred Qualifications (not required, but advantageous):

Professional Geologist (PG) certification or Engineer-In-Training (EIT) designation.

Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and geospatial data analysis.

Familiarity with geophysical methods and instrumentation for subsurface characterization.

Knowledge of New Jersey's geological and hydrogeological conditions.

Previous involvement in remediation projects and site redevelopment planning.
