SUMMARY

Paragon Professional Services, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation, is currently seeking a qualified

Quality Assurance for El Paso Processing Center, El Paso, TX. The Quality Assurance will need to ensure that EPSPC and all PPS operations are following ACA, PBNDS, and local ICE policy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position, and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.

Managing and executing the QA/QC Plan/Program and Report to Project Manager.

• Advising the Project Manager and Assistant Project Managers on QA/QC findings and making recommendations for improvements to procedures.

• Working with ICE counterparts to ensure PBNDS 2011/ACA compliance and records keeping requirements.

• Conducting continuous Quality Control inspections of Officers on assigned shifts utilizing Form(s) G-324 from PBNDS. Providing daily reports to the PM, Assistant Project Managers and Shift Captains; notifying Shift Captain promptly of any/all serious concerns noted, or performance concerns noted by ICE.

• Conducting daily Quality Assurance inspections per Quality Assurance cycle schedule; forwarding report to Project Manager/ Assistant Project Manager.

• Will oversee QA Assistant duties and responsibilities.

• Assisting the shift Captains conducting incident investigations.

• Recommending Training Topics to the PM and APM’s based on field observations of Officer performance.

• Responsible for collaborating with the Safety & Environmental Health Manager in collecting and analyzing information pertaining to S&EH, such as accident and injury reports.

• Conducts Safety & Environmental Health inspections with the S&EH Manager.

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in appropriate discipline, or 5 years related industry experience; have knowledge of program objectives, policies, procedures, and requirements for managing a secure detention/corrections facility per PBNDS 2011/ACA Standards.

• ACA Membership

• Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.

• Computer skills including proficiency in various Microsoft Office Suite programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

• Organizational skills commensurate with position

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

KSAO PBNDS standards

KSAO ACA standards

• KSAO DHS/ICE local and national standards

• Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

• Organizational skills

Preferred

• Proficiency in PBNDS, ACA and local policies

• Bilingual

• Experience in report writing

• Experience in performing Quality Audits and/or Compliance Audits

NECESSARY PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Employee must always maintain a constant state of mental alertness at all times. This position consists of standing for long periods of time, as well as sitting for long periods of time. The individual must be able to work in high stress environments, working with deadlines and working with ICE officials and assisting in yearly audits. DOT COVERED/SAFETY-SENSITIVE ROLE REQUIREMENTS

· This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation “safety-sensitive” functions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Work environment includes but is not limited to working with cell phone, tablet, and laptop on a daily basis. Being available for phone calls and emails after working hours. Occasional travel outside of the EPCSPC facility to conduct inspections maybe required.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
