AT-RISK International is seeking qualified students for the position of Global Risk Intelligence (GRI) Analyst (Volunteer Intern).
AT-RISK produces and delivers: 1) strategic intelligence analysis responsive to AT-RISKs client-specific requirements; 2) tactical intelligence analysis supportive of AT-RISKs global security operations; and 3) investigative support to AT-RISKs behavioral threat assessment and management (BTAM) consultations.
Position proactively conducts or directly assists in conducting confidential and proprietary investigations and intelligence analysis to support private and corporate security industry clients.
Position directly supports AT-RISKs public and private sector clients worldwide.
Position directly reports to AT-RISKs Director of Intelligence.
Position closely collaborates with AT-RISKs leaders, peers, clients, and partners.
Position requires a mature student seeking to develop technical familiarity, analytic tradecraft, and the ability to collaborate within small-team, remote environments.
Qualifications
Education: Student must be pursuing an associates or bachelors degree from an accredited US college or university with any major or concentration in reasonable relation to a protective security services discipline, including but not limited to: criminology or criminal justice, security operations or management, intelligence or cybersecurity studies, national or homeland security, international relations or affairs, political science or affairs, history or geography, education or communication, law or legal studies, psychology or behavioral science, or applied intelligence or crime analysis.
Experience: Student must be seeking mentored educational or professional experience in conducting intelligence analysis tradecraft while safeguarding proprietary, confidential, and privacy information.
Background: Student must successfully pass a pre-employment background investigation and drug screening.
Capability: Student must be comfortable utilizing standard, remote office equipment and technology to conduct open-source intelligence (OSINT) analysis, particularly news and social media exploitation. Student must demonstrate critical thinking and attention to detail with a collaborative, inquisitive, and proactive mindset.
Preferences
Experience: Documented educational or professional experience in conducting intelligence analysis that supported public or private sector security organizations and missions.
Training: Completed professional training course(s) in conducting intelligence analysis, particularly OSINT.
Certification: Documented certification in any intelligence-related discipline applicable to the public or private sector security industries, such as the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP) Certified Threat Manager (CTM), American Society for Industrial Securitys (ASIS) Certified Protection Professional (CPP), or other certifications.
Language: Demonstrated proficiency in any of the following foreign languages: Spanish, French, Russian, Chinese, Farsi, or Arabic.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Knowledge of analytic, investigative, and protective tradecraft, including sources and methods for the collection, compilation, exploitation, analysis, documentation, and communication of facts and circumstances regarding physical or cyber security risks toward protective operations, incidents, and events.
Knowledge of online privacy and personally identifiable information (PII) protection.
Ability to work in a dynamic and remote environment across multiple time zones.
Ability to apply critical thinking, logical reasoning, and structured analysis to collected information.
Ability to make logical and unbiased judgements regarding analyzed, all-source information.
Ability to organize, plan, prioritize, and coordinate collaborative work assignments.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in both oral and written formats.
Ability to develop and maintain internal collaborative relationships and external liaison partnerships.
Responsibilities
Communicating, coordinating, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate protective intelligence into business and security operations.
Recommending and testing operational technology to enable or enhance comprehensive, private security operations, especially global risk and protective intelligence analysis.
Ensuring the timely production and delivery of accurate and actionable intelligence analysis.

Developing professional experience within an educational environment.
