Job Description
Location: Remote (US MT preferred)
Reports To: Chief Product & Technology Officer
Type: Full-Time
Overview
At Leadership Circle, we’re reimagining how leadership grows—from one-time events to personalized, continuous, human-centered experiences. We’re seeking a Senior UX Designer who can lead discovery and design from early concept through execution—with a strong emphasis on user research, rapid prototyping, and system thinking.
This is currently our only dedicated design role, which means we’re looking for someone who is highly autonomous, self-directed, and comfortable driving both the strategic and tactical aspects of design. You’ll need to be proactive in collaborating across teams, initiating research, and shaping design direction without a large design team around you.
This role is central to shaping new platform experiences for our network of certified practitioners and leaders, adaptive learning tools, and leadership team solutions. You’ll collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Research and Assessment teams to translate insights into elegant, testable, high-impact solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end UX design and research for new platform features—from initial problem framing to final interaction patterns.
- Conduct generative and evaluative research: user interviews, surveys, usability tests, and prototype validation.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering to ensure designs are feasible, performant, and aligned with reusable components and design system standards.
- Champion the appropriate use and evolution of a shared design system, ensuring scalability, consistency, and accessibility across the platform.
- Use lightweight, continuous research methods to inform product strategy and validate decisions.
- Create experiences that feel considered, not just functional--balancing business needs with a deep empathy for users.
- Contribute to and help evolve a shared design language for the platform.
- Leverage emerging tools, including AI, to scale your design impact and streamline workflows.
Requirements
- 5–8+ years of product design experience, including launching 0 1 products and iterating on mature systems.
- Comfort in ambiguity, collaborative brainstorming, and rapid iteration.
- An ability to balance tradeoffs between polished design and fast user feedback
- Proven track record of working closely with engineering teams to deliver component-based, scalable, and high-quality user interfaces.
- Have strong familiarity with modern tools like Figma, Dovetail, and your choice of testing platforms (e.g., Maze, Useberry)
- Strong visual and interaction design sensibility
- Bonus: Experience in leadership development, coaching, or HR tech domains.
