Position Summary:
The Supply Chain Manager leads Tedia’s supply chain team to achieve world class on time in full delivery to customers while maximizing operational efficiency and cost savings. Reporting to the SVP Operations, the successful candidate will develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate risk within the supply chain. This position contributes to the development of the supply chain strategy while managing daily execution in support of monthly and annual goals.
Essential Duties:
Lead all tactical and strategic procurement activities, while maintaining budgeted PPV ranges and delivering year-over-year gross profit improvement
Manage the procurement strategy through the development of strong vendor relationships, qualification of alternate suppliers and contract negotiation
Manage safety stock to support uninterrupted production, working closely with Finance to achieve working capital goals and increase inventory turns
Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and company standards in all procurement and supply chain activities
Monitor market trends and conditions to anticipate potential challenges in the supply chain
With support from the SVP, lead a best-in-class Sales, Inventory, & Operations Planning Process (SIOP) and distribute monthly dashboards
Manage and maintain SAP item master parameters to ensure efficient and reliable functioning of the MRP process supporting planning and purchasing
Act as the operations liaison and coordinator for customer inquiries on order status, expedites and new product introduction
Support inventory accuracy through regular review of the cycle counting process and lead monthly disposition of quarantined inventory in partnership with Quality Assurance and Manufacturing
Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency, streamline communication and strengthen supply chain processes
Develop annual goals for direct reports to drive attainment of corporate goals and conduct regular meetings to assess progress, remove roadblocks and provide coaching as needed to support employee development
Generate and update process and procedure documentation for supply chain and ensure timely completion of related training for all supply chain employees
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position manages the Logistics & Warehouse Manager, Buyer, Production Planner, and Production Coordinator, and is responsible for the performance management and hiring within this area.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, Production and Operations Management, Purchasing, or other related field
Technical purchasing experience
Working knowledge of ERP systems and MRP processes
Preferred Education and Experience:
SAP experience
Experience with Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP)
Inventory management processes and principles
APICS certification
Continuous Improvement/Green or Black Belt certification/Project Management

This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. Some of the work will require exposure to loud noises or fumes in the plant facility.
The physical demands of this job require employee to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
