2D Art Lead

Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced 2D Art Lead to guide and inspire our art team in creating high-quality visuals for our game projects. You will be responsible for defining the visual style, overseeing the production of 2D assets, and ensuring consistency and excellence across art-related deliverables. Working closely with the Art Director and Art Manager as well as with cross disciplinary teams. Executing to the best of your ability within a game dev environment and deadlines.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and support a team of 2D artists, providing clear feedback, paintovers, and guidance

Plan, assign, and review tasks to ensure timely delivery and high-quality output.

Create key assets and visual benchmarks, such as concept art, character designs, and Illustrations

Collaborate with other departments to ensure artistic vision aligns with gameplay and technical constraints.

Maintain consistency in style and quality

Assist in hiring and training new artists.

Know the game and contribute to the ideas that help make the game betterRequirements

5+ years professional experience as 2D Art lead and Senior artist in the game industry

Portfolio demonstrating expert knowledge and abilities with examples of 2D production artwork for games.

Experience with Jira or similar task-management systems

Attention to detail, meticulous and organized working habits
