Lighthouse Lab Services is representing a reputable healthcare organization in Westchester, NY seeking a Director of Laboratory Services. This is a unique opportunity for a dynamic leader to oversee laboratory operations during a period of strategic transition, including a major relocation project.

The ideal candidate will be a forward-thinking professional with strong organizational and communication skills, and direct experience in lab relocation, equipment coordination, and workflow optimization.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Oversee all laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and institutional policies.

Lead and coordinate the relocation of laboratory facilities, including managing equipment moves, reviewing blueprints, and collaborating with project managers and construction teams.

Evaluate and improve lab layout and workflow for efficiency, safety, and productivity.

Serve as a key liaison between laboratory staff, hospital administration, and external vendors.

Train, mentor, and supervise laboratory personnel to maintain high standards of performance and morale.

Ensure smooth integration of new laboratory space and technology into daily operations.

Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field (Master's preferred).

Clinical laboratory certification (e.g., ASCP) highly preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in a clinical laboratory environment.

Demonstrated experience with laboratory relocation or renovation projects.

Familiarity with interpreting blueprints and collaborating with facilities/project management teams.

Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary range: $135,000 – $150,000, commensurate with experience
