Salary: $25.00 Per Hour

Non Seasonal Internship

S.J. Amoroso Construction is seeking an Accounting Internship to support the day-to-day administrative needs of our accounting department at our corporate headquarters in Redwood City, CA.

Primary Objectives

This internship provides hands-on experience in various aspects of accounting and finance, including accounts payable/receivable, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate is currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and is eager to apply academic knowledge to real-world scenarios.

Essential Job Functions

Assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including data entry and invoice processing

Help prepare and post journal entries

Perform account reconciliations and assist with month-end closing activities

Maintain and organize financial records and documentation

Support the preparation of financial reports and spreadsheets

Assist with audits and internal reviews

Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data as needed

Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards

Perform other administrative and accounting duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Viewpoint, Textura, etc. is a plus)

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a team environment
