This is a full-time, on-site position based in Seaside, California, supporting a long-term federal contract.
What Youll Do
You'll join a skilled IT Operations team supporting a mission-critical environment. Your work will involve the full lifecycle of enterprise networking, with a focus on performance, security, and resiliency.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Installing, configuring, and maintaining network infrastructure including:
Routers, switches, and firewalls (including Palo Alto)
Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS)
TACLANE and EKMS (COMSEC)
Load balancers, DNS appliances, and F5 solutions
Cisco AnyConnect, Aruba ClearPass, and wireless infrastructure
Monitoring tools like SolarWinds
Administering daily operations and responding to real-time network performance issues
Managing disaster recovery and backup operations
Applying and maintaining network security measures in compliance with federal standards
Troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues
Replacing or upgrading hardware components as needed
Communicating with network users to identify and resolve system challenges
Monitoring systems through master consoles and dashboards
Supporting on-call rotation and occasional weekend work as needed
What You Bring
We're looking for a mid to senior-level network professional who thrives in high-security environments and is ready to take ownership of complex technical systems.
To Succeed in This Role, Youll Need:
10+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering
Current Secret clearance (Tier 5)
Relevant certifications, including:
Security+ (required)
CCNA or CCNP (preferred)
Compliance with DoD 8570 requirements
Strong understanding of DoD STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides)
Solid analytical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills
Comfortable working fully on-site, Monday through Friday (target start time: 8:00 AM PST)
Willingness to support after-hours and weekend operations when needed
An associate degree or higher is helpful but not mandatory
