Duties and Responsibilities:

Verify product conformance utilizing pertinent specifications, drawings, and customer workmanship standards

Perform First Article Inspections of initial production runs per requirements

Ensure quality standards are met throughout production runs

Verification of all process specifications concerning product

Initiate and manage non-conformance reports

Support System and Product audits throughout manufacturing

Interface with representatives for evaluation of nonconforming product as needed

Interface with Orion Staff and customer representatives to coordinate problem solving concerning quality issuesRequirements:

Previous experience inspecting aerospace components

Familiarity with Sheet Metal Fabrication, Machining and Assembly processes

Ability to use standard inspection equipment (e.g. height gauge, micrometers, calipers, etc.)

Ability to interpret blueprints and specifications

Require shop math skills

Ability to work independently as well as collectively

Customer service skills; able to relate well to all customers internal as well as external customers

The wage range for this role considers several factors, including but not limited to required experience, skill level, prior training, education, and other business needs.

Frequent use of computer.

Frequent use of hands and fingers to reach, manipulate, handle, and hold material.

Frequent use of vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and spatial relationship.

Frequent use of hearing ability to receive detailed information through oral communication.

Frequent use of speaking ability to express or exchange ideas, communicate detailed information, or convey instructions.

Lifting, carrying, and pulling of 15 pounds. Maximum lift, carry or pull of 50 pounds. Objects that are heavier than 40 pounds require a team lift.

Exposure to manufacturing shop floor, requiring use of Safety Glasses.

Exposure to excess noise levels, occasionally necessitating the use of Hearing Protection.
