Daily Responsibilities
Designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring robust security measures are in place to protect sensitive data and systems.
Conduct risk assessments, implement security controls, and provide ongoing monitoring and support for cloud environments.
Assist in the migration of multiple programs to the cloud through developing migration strategies, advising on cloud architecture, and facilitating cloud deployment methodologies.
Assist in planning, designing, and evaluating proposed migration/onboarding plans for portfolio of programs and data to the cloud.
Assist in designing and evaluating proposed end-to-end automation of deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management in a cloud environment.
Assist in designing and managing the program’s cloud computing strategies, which include cloud adoption plans, cloud management and monitoring.
Assist in defining security guidance, governance, risk management, scalability, and cost optimization of the cloud environment.
Organize, understand, and analyze data use and need to find patterns and develop logical groupings and solutions that meet the program's goals.
Apply decision analysis techniques to ensure that the engineering approach is cost effective and satisfies the training objectives as it applies to Cloud Migration and optimization for the program.
Support the continuum of enterprise system testing across the agile software development life cycle.Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Citizen as mandated by our government client.
Must possess and maintain an active Secret clearance.
10+ years of cloud architecture and migration experience and viewed as a subject matter expert (SME) in this field.
5+ years of cloud migration experience.
Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure.
Extensive experience in cloud program analysis, assignment coordination, and program support services.
Extensive experience in defining cloud reference architectures, standards, and interfaces for re-use across the client portfolio.
Extensive experience in identifying capability gaps and shortfalls, determining new technology and system requirements, identifying solutions, assessing technology maturation and advancements to address suitability of developed solutions.
Extensive experience assessing testing and integration requirements, costs, and activities and their results.
Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting complex system issues, including root cause analysis and incident management.
Ability to work in customer-facing roles, providing technical guidance and support for critical cloud environments.
BS/BA degree in Engineering or other STEM equivalent field, or equivalent experience.

Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The annual salary range for this position is $129,463 – $161,100.
