JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

REPORTS TO: CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER, CEO

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the general direction of the CEO, the Business Development Coordinator is responsible for driving census growth for both short-term rehabilitation and long-term care residents. This role focuses on building strong relationships with referral sources, increasing community and provider engagement, and enhancing Bay County Medical Care Facilities visibility and reputation.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Actively engage and communicate with hospitals, physicians, discharge planners, case managers, and other referrals to generate appropriate resident referrals.

2. Identify and cultivate new relationships within the healthcare and senior services community

3. Promote Bay County Medical Care Facility through outreach to healthcare providers and community organizations. Assists with the creation and distribution of promotional materials, event planning and community initiatives as needed.

4. Represent Bay County Medical Care Facility at meetings, networking events and local community activities.

5. Plan and host facility tours, open houses, and other events to increase awareness and engagement.

6. Works closely with Admissions to ensure a smooth transition for incoming residents.

7. When available, assist in transporting residents from referral sources to the facility.

8. Is knowledgeable of Resident Rights and ensures resident privacy and dignity and helps ensure a safe, secure environment for all residents.

9. Completes annual Inservice training requirements, maintains acceptable attendance, and dresses in accordance with Dress Code Policy.

10. Responsible for appropriate use of Facility supplies and equipment to minimize loss, waste and fraud.

11. Maintains confidentiality of all data, including resident, employee and Facility information.

12. Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, preferred.

2. 2-4 years of experience in business development, healthcare marketing, or admissions in healthcare, post-acute or skilled-nursing

3. Experience with Microsoft Office

4. Valid, unrestricted drivers license

5. Interpersonal skills necessary to work productively with all levels of healthcare personnel, effectively communicate with residents, families, and general public, filing and organizational skills.

6. Physical ability to sit in one position for extended periods of time.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

1. Flexible work schedule including occasional evenings and weekends for events or meetings

2. Occasional Onsite or Offsite work depending on facility need. Travel to hospitals, provider offices, or community events.
