We are currently seeking a talented individual to become a Surveillance Operator. An individual could be successful if they possess the following.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Surveillance Operator is responsible to protect the assets of the company and the integrity of gaming. This is accomplished through monitoring of the casino using Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), digital recording devices and direct observation to ensure compliance with, and document violations of, company policies and procedures and appropriate laws and regulations. Always presents a friendly and professional image at the Hotel/Casino. The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:
Review video and complete documentation regarding specific slot and table game jackpots, guest complaints, procedure errors, risk management issues, player evaluations, theft, and variances.
Conduct routine surveillance filming, review video, and complete documentation to detect suspicious activities and behavior throughout casino and gaming areas.
Monitor all casino areas, team member areas and property as a whole
Operate CCTV/digital equipment to conduct surveillance.
Prevent loss by identifying procedure errors and suspicious behavior shown by team members and guests in the casino.
Maintain strict confidentiality for the company when conducting observations and investigations.
Write and prepare daily reports and logs.
Maintain evidence by dubbing and saving video files.
Testify in court as a representative for the company as necessary.
Takes initiative to learn all aspects of the Surveillance Department.
Learns and stays up-to-date on the rules of game play for all table games
Understands and adheres to all state, federal and gaming regulations and policies
Maintains knowledge of the policies and procedures of all gaming departments
Keeps a “firewall” between surveillance and other departments to ensure that ethics and integrity are never questioned
Answers emergency calls and dispatches EMS, security and/or other emergency personnel to the appropriate area
Maintains an attitude & philosophy consistent with the company Core Values and Standards of Behavior with internal & external guests

Must be able to work independently and on a team, and exercise good judgment in handling a variety of situations.
Strong logic, mathematical, numerical and statistical skills.
Must have excellent problem-solving abilities.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

High school graduate or GED required; college grad preferred
Casino experience preferred
Experience in military, law enforcement, surveillance, loss prevention or security is preferred
Guest service experience is a must
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job does not have supervisory responsibilities.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and have acceptable driving history as determined by Oaklawn Jockey Club.
