Toyota of Des Moines is seeking an Accountant who has excellent communication skills, leadership qualities, is disciplined, and has good decision-making skills. Toyota of Des Moines makes customer service a top priority so candidates must have a strong attention to detail and maintain a professional appearance.

Responsibilities:

Manage accounts payable and receivable transactions using specialized accounting software

Foster strong relationships with vendors and customers, ensuring accurate billing, timely payments, and quick resolution of any issues

Perform reconciliation for general ledger accounts, bank statements, credit card accounts and other financial records

Investigate discrepancies and take proactive measures to resolve issues while ensuring accuracy and completeness

Maintain and update physical inventory records, ensuring proper tracking and accounting of goods

Process and oversee commission figures for sales and finance departments

Ensure accurate calculation and timely distribution of commission payments

Verify that sales and rebates are accurately reported with manufacturers

Work directly with manufacturers to resolve discrepancies on a case-by-case basis, ensuring correct reporting.

Ensure the accuracy and adherence to company accounting policies and regulatory requirements

Regularly review accounting processes and recommend improvements to optimize operational efficiency

Pay: $75,000 - $80,000

Requirements:

Degree in Accounting preferred

Prior Accounting experience preferred but not required

Have a valid Iowa Driver’s License

Will submit to a drug and background screening
