Salary: $60,500-$90,000
The Opportunity:
The Test Engineer will be responsible for requirements analysis, test design, test execution and defect escalation for Safran Federal Systems Position Navigation and Timing (PNT) and simulation products. Develop and implement software and system verification and validation testing processes and automation scripts that ensure software/firmware deliverables conform to Safran Federal Systems quality processes and procedures.

How I will Contribute:
Design, build, and maintain automated test frameworks and infrastructure to support continuous integration, rapid regression testing, and product validation
Create, maintain, and operate test environments, test fixtures, and equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, GNSS simulators, etc.) in support of SFS products
Create reusable test automation libraries to validate system performance, interfaces, and functionality
Support environmental, EMC, and system-level testing efforts (as required by program or regulatory needs)
Participate in reviews, technical discussions, and continual process improvements within the test organization
Perform root cause analysis and drive resolution of product failures or performance issues
Drive continuous improvement of testing strategies, tools, and best practices
Maintain clear and concise documentation of test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test results.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and translate them into validation strategies
What You Bring to Safran Federal Systems:
2+ years of experience in a technical test engineering role, or equivalent/adjacent engineering position
B.S. in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or adjacent discipline
Strong understanding of electronics fundamentals, digital/analog interfaces and/or embedded systems
Experience with automated test systems and CI/CD integration for products
Fluent in Python for test automation scripting within SFS testing framework
Understanding or experience operating in a Gitlab/Github environment
Demonstrated ability to process, analyze, and present test results and adherence to technical requirements.
Demonstrated experience with test engineering concepts and processes
Experience with military and civil qualification standards, including hardware and software qualification.
Self-motivated, and ability to self-prioritize effectively to achieve goals, comfortable with ambiguity
Ability to interact appropriately with a variety of individuals including customers/clients.
Ability to travel as needed (up to 10%)
Secret level security clearance is preferred
Knowledge in Positioning, Navigation and Timing technologies or related high tech industry is preferred
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
The ability to remain poised under all circumstances, and to interact effectively with people in a positive manner that engenders confidence and trust.
Ability to reason logically and make sound decisions, to consider alternative and diverse perspectives, to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
