ABOUT THE JOB:

We are looking for a highly skilled Sr. Software Engineer to join our engineering teams here at Tapcheck. As a software engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the development and maintenance of our Azure-based web applications and backend systems.

The Payments & Integrations Engineering team who plays a pivotal role in building new data-processing products and improving existing ones, ensuring scalability, reliability and performance of our applications. You will be responsible for designing, developing and testing applications, providing innovative technical solutions and working collaboratively with the team to ensure our products are of the highest quality.

This role offers both a remote and hybrid option. Employees located within 30 miles of Plano TX, are required to be in-office Tuesday through Thursday each week. Those residing beyond this radius may be considered for a fully remote arrangement, depending on experience and business needs.

What You’ll Do:

Design, develop, and test data-processing platforms & integrations

Collaborate with the engineering team to build new products and improve existing ones

Provide innovative technical solutions to improve functionality and add new product features

Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality code is maintained

Integrate with various APIs & backends

Build with scalability, reliability and performance in mind

Support Staging, Testing, and Production environments

What You’ll Bring:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience

7+ years of development experience with .NET (C#), SQL, and RESTful APIs

5+ years of experience building platform and system applications in a public cloud environment (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

5+ years of experience working in Agile development teams

Strong understanding of system architecture, including APIs, databases, and design patterns

Solid grasp of system design principles and patterns

Azure and Kubernetes experience (preferred; must be demonstrable)

Proven experience leading technical projects and mentoring team members

Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills

Positive, open-minded, and collaborative approach to teamwork

Compensation: $140,000 - $150,000. The actual base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: location, experience, training, knowledge. and skills. Tapcheck reserves the right to amend, change, alter, and revise pay ranges and benefits offerings at any time. All applicants acknowledge that by applying to this position you understand that this specific pay range is contingent upon meeting the qualifications and requirements of the role, and for the successful completion of the interview selection and process. It is at the Company's discretion to determine what pay is provided to a candidate within the range associated with the role.
