Premier Pump & Power is a family-owned manufacturer of industrial pumps and energy solutions. We specialize in large, custom, portable pump packages, and our products are renowned for their performance, serviceability and built-in quality. We proudly serve thousands of customers from our global headquarters in Vancouver, Washington and our new manufacturing factory in Houston, Texas.
At Premier you will work on all aspects of pump and industrial manufacturing as part of a mechanical team consisting of entry-level, mid-level and senior mechanics. You will learn every aspect of chassis, engine and industrial assembly, contributing and building your mechanical skills. You will prepare with appropriate tools and safety equipment, take instructions and be a team player.
You will report to the Assembly Supervisor
Responsibilities
Support and maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the facility
Assist with aspects of pump and package manufacturing under the guidance of Lead Assemblers and the Assembly Supervisor
Cut, measure and torque materials as required
Understand job instructions and complete required job paperwork and documentation in English
Cut chains, hoses and wires
Complete battery sub-assemblies
Assemble bolts, screws and wire harness assemblies on pump packages
Move materials around the shop with a pallet jack and hand truck
Qualifications
Currently in school or have recently graduated from high school or a GED program
Able to work 8-hour shifts
Must have mechanical aptitude
Must be able to read simple blueprints and other engineering documents from an iPAD.
Wear and maintain all required Personal Protective Equipment
Able and willing to work in both a warehouse and outdoor environment within different weather conditions
Follow all company procedures, paying special attention to safety regulations
Accommodation
Employees must be able to frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Close vision is required for this job. While performing the responsibilities of this job, employees are required to speak and understand English, stand and sit, and use their fingers and thumbs. Employees are frequently required to reach with their hands and arms and are frequently required to kneel or stoop.
While working in the factory, performing inspections and troubleshooting equipment, employees may be asked to work under varying weather conditions, operate heavy machinery and tolerate moderate noise levels.
