JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Manager, Finance & Controller will play a key leadership role, overseeing all aspects of accounting operations, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), budgeting, forecasting, month-end close processes, debt covenant compliance, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This role will also coordinate audit processes, manage tax return preparations with third party firms, and ensure overall compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounting Operations:
Oversee the accurate and timely completion of month-end and year-end closing processes.
Ensure accurate maintenance of the general ledger and adherence to GAAP accounting standards.
Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal control processes.Financial Planning & Analysis:
Lead the FP&A function, including forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and financial modeling.
Provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making by senior management.
Track financial KPI’sCompliance and Reporting:
Monitor and manage compliance with debt covenants, maintaining timely and accurate reporting to lenders.
Coordinate and assist external auditors and tax professionals, ensuring timely completion of audits and tax returns.
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal financial policies, and reporting deadlines.Budgeting and Forecasting:
Develop, implement, and oversee budgeting and forecasting processes across departments.
Conduct regular financial reviews with departments, ensuring alignment with strategic financial targets.Leadership and Collaboration:
Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and finance team to achieve departmental objectives.
Collaborate cross-functionally with department heads to provide financial guidance, optimize financial performance, and ensure alignment with company goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or MBA preferred.
Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with at least 3 years in managerial capacity.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial compliance, audit, and tax requirements.
Proven experience managing accounting operations, FP&A, and budgeting processes.
Experience with financial covenant reporting and compliance.
Prior experience managing external audit processes and coordinating with tax professionals.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
Effective leadership skills, with experience in developing high-performing finance teams.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Advanced proficiency in financial systems, ERP platforms (Oracle), and Microsoft Suite.
The pay range for this position is below. The specific starting rate will depend on the chosen candidate’s qualifications and prior experience. $135,000 (entry level qualifications) to $155,000 (highly experienced).
