Job Summary
The Junior Staff Accountant is responsible for compiling, processing, and maintaining daily accounting tasks. Assist with compiling, calculating, coding, and executing billing data to ensure efficient, timely and accurate billing of work done by Foxfire Property Management, Facilitech and The Cleaning Guy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform reconciliations to include vendor and credit card statements
Assist A/R Specialist via monitoring collections
Assist Billing Specialist with creation and preparation of invoices to include postage and copier charges
Track and monitor accounts payable utilizing 3rd party software
Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements
Assist other departments such as residential and commercial with reviewing of monthly expenses
Update financial data in a timely manner
Ensure that information is accurate
React in a timely manner if the information is not accurate
Support senior and staff accountants
Adhere to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
As needed, assist Controller with other accounting projects
Promotes and supports Foxfire’s policies and procedures
Ability to work well with a diverse group of people
Additional Duties
Special projects as needed
Actively seeks out other tasks when current work is complete
Participate in ongoing education and training
Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
Education or Experience- Bachelor’s degree in accounting from four-year college or university.
Language Skills- Must have developed language skills to the point to be able to: read and interpret financial statements and respond to common inquiries or questions. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Able to speak professionally and effectively in one-on-one or in small group situations.
Mathematical Skills- Requires mathematical development sufficient to be able to: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage. Possess a general understanding of basic accounting principles. Demonstrates accuracy and attention to detail.
Reasoning Ability- Must have developed reasoning skills to be able to: apply common logic in understanding and carrying out written, oral, or diagram instructions. Ability to positively deal with problems involving standardized situations.
Physical Requirements
Ability to pass physical exam, pre-employment drug test and background check
Requires sitting to a significant degree, walking, standing, reaching, handling, talking, hearing and seeing
Lifting up to 25 lbs. maximum with infrequent lifting and/or carrying or transporting of objects weighing up to 10 lbs.
Ability to operate standard office equipment including personal computer, copiers, facsimile, telephone, remote scanner(s) and 10-key calculator
Inside environmental office conditions protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes
