Job Description
The Senior Applications Engineer III will be responsible for selecting appropriate equipment and technologies to develop customer specific engineered water treatment systems and subcomponents based upon customer and/or salesperson provided requirements, direction, and appropriate water test report data.
Responsibilities:
Work with the Sales Engineers to establish/define customer requirements
Prepare equipment specification and costs for RFQs; must be able to extract necessary information for the design of the system from written specifications and other customer documents; perform and interpret RO projections; analyze and size pumps and pipes for flow rates, pressure drops, etc. for water treatment equipment
Creation of PFDs for proposals, and working with engineering to created P&IDs as needed
Develop preliminary process, electrical and mechanical designs for equipment
Provide pre- and post-sale technical support to Engineering, Manufacturing, sales, Dealers and Customer. Take on role of key technical expert
Review process requirements, designs, guarantees, liabilities, regulation compliance and testing requirements in documents
Assemble clarifications and bid proposals
Work with engineering and manufacturing to estimate project schedules and manpower requirements
Work with engineering to update design standards and procedures
Develop process standards and operational strategies
Answer questions and provides support during submittal and design process
Provide tools to streamline and standardize processes
Provide training to other team members on equipment and regulations
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
BS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering required
10+ years related experience including process applications, hydro-mechanical process systems design
Demonstrated experience with PFD and P&ID development including attendant fluid flow controls
Experience with systems for process and drinking water treatment, wastewater treatment, reverse osmosis processes and membrane filtration systems applications a plus

Target Salary Range: $100,000 - $145,000 per year. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, geographic location, and business and organizational needs.
