With over 60 years of service to the community as the premier imaging center in Tallahassee, we continue to grow and thrive. We are seeking a customer service-focused Scheduler to join our Women's Imaging Center team. This is a full time, benefits-eligible position.

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Responsible for scheduling patient appointments by telephone in a courteous and timely manner. Provides outstanding customer service in a fast-paced office call center environment with a commitment to excellence.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Answers incoming telephone calls from patients and physician offices in a pleasant and professional manner, and schedules, coordinates and reschedules patient appointments.
Relays necessary messages to staff, screens calls as appropriate and provides accurate and helpful information regarding patient appointments and testing.
Ability to work quickly, cheerfully and maintain voice quality during prolonged talking.
Proficient language skills – must be able to be understood and to pronounce names.
Must be able to maintain phone conversation while verifying and updating necessary information and records in the Radiology Information System.
Maintains and updates current information on technologist schedules ensuring that patients are scheduled properly and appointments are confirmed.
Maintains a trusting environment by always protecting patient and practice confidentiality.
May also make outbound calls to schedule or confirm appointments or to request additional information from patients or providers with the same high level of customer service as inbound calls.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
EDUCATION: High school graduation or GED.
EXPERIENCE:
One year work experience, preferably in a medical office setting. Knowledge of medical terminology desirable. Word processing and computer experience.
KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of business office procedures.
Knowledge of medical terminology and coding.
Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation to type patient information.
SKILLS:
Skill in operating a computer and copy machine.
Skill in answering the telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner and using a multi-line telephone system.
ABILITIES:
Ability to speak clearly and concisely.
Ability to read, understand, and follow oral, and written instruction.
Ability to sort and file materials correctly by alphabetic or numeric systems.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public.
