First and foremost, the Warehouse Manager is expected to lead by example within the company’s Core Values and Core Focus. Currently, the Fayetteville warehouse also operates as the company’s Distribution Center and the Warehouse Manager will be responsible for the direct/indirect supervision of the following: Safety, Inbound Operations (Unloading and Receiving), Warehouse Operations (Pick-Pack, Break-Pack), Outbound Operations (Loading, deliveries), and Transfer Operations (branch to branch). The Warehouse Manager must analyze trends, solve problems, and motivate and develop themselves and associates in order to maximize success.
Responsibilities
Maintain and develop a productive warehouse by hiring, training and providing professional development for all of its associates
Supervise and coordinate unloading and stocking of inbound shipments and the picking and shipping of outbound orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness with both product and paperwork
Ensure warehouse space is used effectively and kept clean and orderly
Ensure integrity of inventory and confirm that cycle counts are completed
Maintain security of warehouse and safety of all associates and equipment, reporting any accidents and conveying any issues to branch management
Provide strategic leadership for the warehouse
Promote and drive safety daily in the workplace, crafting a safe work environment for associates
Provide consistent communication to associates and counterparts
Continue to increase quality in customer deliveries
Drive high levels of inventory integrity within the building
Maintain associate engagement throughout the warehouse
Lead and coordinate associates performing activities including; unloading and stocking of inbound shipments, order selection and shipping of outbound orders, cycle counting, and final mile delivery services to our customers
Ensure high standards of cleanliness are maintained in our sites
