Full Time PET/IR/NM Scheduler

Salary: $20/hr

ImageCare Radiology is seeking a Full-Time Interventional Radiology Scheduler for our Jefferson Location.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm

General Description of Position

The IR Scheduler will answer incoming telephone calls from patients, physicians, coworkers, drug representatives and the general public. Schedule patient appointments for tests with other professionals located in the outpatient centers. Take messages for physicians and staff and supervisors. Assist manager in various scopes dealing with coordinating the daily schedules and activities per specific department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Answering incoming and internal phone calls and taking messages.

Scheduling appointments for specific modalities, specifically PET/CT, Nuclear Medicine, andInterventional Radiology studies. Confirmation of patient appointments via phone calls.

Assisting patients and visitors with directions and answering questions.

Gathering insurance information, verification and copy of cards, change of address information from patients and/or family members and referral documentation.

Facilitates patient flow by notifying the provider of patient arrival, being aware of delays and communicating with patients and clinical staff.

Keeps medical office supplies adequately stocked by anticipating inventory needs, placing orders and monitoring office equipment.

Protects patient confidentiality by making sure protected health information is secured.

Possess accurate judgement, especially handling charges and dealing with patient accounts.

Versatile and willing to coordinate with and participate in, when necessary, all other aspects of our other Business Offices and locations.

Responsible for collecting payment prior to exams as applicable, keeping an accurate log of payment and accurate daily batch of credit card machines.

Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

Ability to commute/relocate:

Jefferson: Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)

Medical office: 1 year (Preferred)
