Position Overview
As a Field Service Technician, you will be performing preventative maintenance on Energy Storage Systems and ancillary equipment at remote sites under the supervision of a Filed Service Engineer. You will also provide general support to the Field Service Engineering team in their performance of corrective maintenance at the remote sites. When not working at the remote sites, you will be performing various tasks in the warehouse / headquarters to prepare for future field work.
Primary Responsibilities
Safely perform preventive maintenance.
Provide general assistance to Field Service Engineers in the field and at headquarters.
Maintain accurate site records of work performed.
Provide feedback on work performed to improve processes and increase efficiency.
Key Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Required:
Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude.
Ability to follow documented instructions and work orders.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Experience using computer systems in office or factory environments.
Desired (Not Required):
Familiarity with complex controls systems, Real-Time Operating Systems
Engineering experience with energy storage and power conversion systems
Knowledge or understanding of generation, transmission and distribution in electric grid systems
Structured problem-solving experience
Education/Experience/Work Environment
High School Diploma.
Trade experience preferred.
Most work will be performed at project sites located in the New England region.
Willingness to travel up to 50% (maximum) to project sites outside of local region
Ability to lift and carry material is required.
Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing /able to drive to remote sites as needed.
